Our AquaBat waterlevel logger is used to automatically monitor water level changes typically in open tube piezometers. It is suitable for use in the industry standard 3/4 inch standpipe tubing. The unit has a 200,000 reading capacity and is self powered for up to 10 years. Significantly, the unit does not have to be removed for download and uses fibre optic cable that can be cut to length in the field. The unit is readily capable of remote data transmission.

We have had considerable experience working with water level loggers from other companies and although the loggers were functional, they never really hit the mark. They were fine if you were prepared to haul the logger from the well for download or if you were prepared to pay a heavy price for dedicated cable and were able to stock different cable lengths to deploy in different wells. As for telemetry, this meant serious money.

We wanted to manufacture a unit that used inexpensive cable that could be cut to length in the field, and could be downloaded without retrieving the unit. We wanted to have telemetry that was cheap, flexible and allowed for download from your office or ISP base, not just a few metres from the well. We also wanted to connect to a central logger that could be used to log any other instrument on a project.

Also, we required a CSV data format output without any bespoke software so you can analyse your data without interference, and an operating system that is so simple and intuitive that a large manual is not required.

COMPLETE SYSTEM INTEGRATION.
The AquaBAT logger can downloaded by manual methods, or we have a SDI-12 interface header unit to connect to the fibre optic cable and outputs AquaBAT data in SDI-12 protocol allowing easy telemetry and combination with the AquaLOG and range of multiplexer modules and SDI-12 sensors.

AquaBat Water Level Logger

The AquaBat level logger was born as a consequence of our desire to come up with a waterlevel data logger system with an innovative integrated sensor logger capsule small enough to go down standard ¾ inch wells, and did not require removal for download or require expensive dedicated cable.  The logger is capable of stand alone operation and easy conversion to remote data capture via the AquaLOG unit and SDI-12 fibre header unit.
