SDI-12 Sensors are units that include a microprocessor which retains all calibration information. All that is needed for these sensors to return data in engineering units is to connect them to our AquaLOG logger via a single 3 core cable. Up to 52 Sensors may be addressed by the AquaLOG unit, connected via a single cable,  provided that the equivalent cable length from logger to Sensor does not exceed 250 metres.

As our vibrating wire  and analogue AquaDAT modules are also SDI-12, virtually all sensors whether SDI-12, analogue and vibrating wire technology, may be all connected within a SDI-12 network.

BAROMETER MODULE SDI-12

The Barometer Module is a fully encapsulated IP68 unit with SDI-12 output and is typically used to provide meterological atmospheric pressure data when used in conjunction with a weather station or for atmospheric pressure compensation for vibrating wire piezometers or AquaBAT water level loggers.

HIGH PRECISION TITANIUM DEPTH TRANSDUCER SDI-12

The AquaAQB491 is an unvented submersible depth transducer constructed entirely in Titanium and Ceramic materials to withstand highly agressive fluid environments and particulary saline and brackish groundwater conditions. The in built microprocessor ensures an exceptional accurate device with long term accuracy up to one year of better than 0.05% full scale.

IN PLACE INCLINOMETER SDI-12 BUS

The IPI-01 automates data gathering from conventional inclinometer tubes and comprises a  plus/minus 15 degree high precision MEMS tilt sensor and microprocessor circuitry fitted within a fully encapsulated stainless steel housing. The sensors operate on an SDI-12 bus which means that only one 4 mm cable connects all sensors down hole. The sensors receive power from the SDI-12 bus and transmit data in engineering units in a digital string to a data logger. Up to a maximum of 52 sensors can be installed within one inclinometer tube since there are no attendent problems with individual cables as with other systems.

TILTMETER AquaTILT SDI-12 Bus and Serial

The AquaTILT is a single station biaxial MEMS tilmeter suitable for mounting to structure for monitoring long term movement with a plus/minus 15 degree range. The AquaTILT is fully encapsulated and outputs data in digital format. The AquaTILT can operate on an SDI-12 bus where it is powered from a data logger and returns digital data to the logger. It also has a serial port allowing it to be connected to any serial device, such as a PC or modem for onward cable free data transmission. In Serial operation a separate 12 V power supply is required to operate the device and attendant modem.
